  Capote, and film in general
Saw Capote Friday night (followed by a really fucked up French film last night) and I must say that [Capote] was the best film I've seen since... in a long time. And, without getting into some long cliche'd review, I hope one aspect of this movie makes itself clear to the numb-minded movie going public: Hollywood would be nothing if it weren't for the writers and their literature behind it. Take the writers out of Hollywood and you end up with "reality based" survivor shows and Disney remakes.

As for the French film... They never have been very good at anything, now have they.

Comments:
I went through a period of intense French Film Viewing. It seemed like there was always either a midget, urinating, or male genitalia in every film.

I haven't seen Capote (yet) but I was amused that the screenplay writer played frustrated author, "Vincent" on 'Judging Amy'.
